About

Back in 1996, after my first website was featured in the New York Times and the Washington Post, I realized that building websites was something that I enjoyed doing.  I started doing freelance work in 1998, trying out all the fun stuff you could do with PHP/FI.  I’ve stuck mainly with the LAMP stack since then, though I’ve dabbled in Python, spent some time with Postgres and Oracle DB as of late, and hacked away at many other languages.

I picked up my PHP5 Zend Certified Engineer (ZCE) certificate awhile back, and recently added my ScrumMaster (CSM) certification to it as well.  I’m also currently taking classes in the Master’s of Software Engieering program at Portland State.

When I’m not in front of my desktop array (which isn’t all that often for those who know me), I can usually be found doing something beer related, typically drinking or brewing it.
